LinkoCTS User Guide Version 15LinkoCTS User Guide Version 15\Before Using LinkoCTS

LinkoCTS is designed to give an authority (typically a wastewater treatment plant) the ability to monitor:

1.    Industry (who may be allowed to dump effluents into the wastewater stream)

2.    The contacts for each Industry

3.    The monitoring points (where samples are taken to measure effluent levels) for each Industry

4.    The effluent limits for each monitoring point

5.    Samples that are taken from the monitoring points, and the test results from those samples.

6.    Reporting, Inspections, and other events related to industry compliance and tracking.

7.    Violations and Enforcements related to failing to meet the requirements of their permits.

8.    Non-Compliance and Significant Non-Compliance.

Some types of data need to be entered before other types.  For example, you must have an Industry’s information on hand before you can assign samples to that Industry.  Please spend some time with the System Administration and Configuration screens to adjust the names and values of Events, Personnel, Violations, Sample Types, Parameters, ND Multiplier, and Security Settings (if you have this feature enabled).

We suggest that you enter information in the following order:

1)   Authority information - your name and address, phone number, default area code, etc.  You can do this in the System Administration POTW Information Configuration screen.

2)   Industry information - do this in the Industry Management screen.

3)   Industry contacts - in the Contact screen.

4)   Monitoring points - in the Monitoring Point screen.

5)   Monitoring point limits - in the Monitoring Point Limit screen.

6)   Enter samples in the Sample Management screen.

7)   Reporting, Inspection and other Events in the Event Management screen.

8.  Generate Compliance reports regarding NC and SNC in Compliance Assistant.
