Linko recommends that you back up your Shared Files daily.  Typically these shared files will be installed on a network file server where your IT group has easy access to backing them up.  The “Root Location of Shared Files” is configured and viewable in System Administration:

Coordinate the back up of these files to occur at the same time as the database backup described next. Doing this will allow you to restore all physical files related to the database records should the database need to be restored from a backup.
